Privacy Policy

This policy explains how AssetBook IoT AB handles personal data when you visit assetbook.eu or contact us through the website. We only collect what we need to answer you, and we don't use advertising or analytics trackers.

Who is responsible for your data

AssetBook IoT AB (org.nr 559299-8008), Sandbacka Park, Högbovägen 45, SE-811 32 Sandviken, Sweden, is the controller for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, email info@assetbook.eu.

What we collect and why

When you send the contact form, we store:

• your name and email address
• your company and the service you're interested in, if you give them
• your message
• your IP address and browser type, which we use to stop spam and abuse of the form

We use this to answer your inquiry and follow up on it, for example by arranging a demo. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you're asking about our services, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and 6(1)(b)). Our staff may use AssetBook's own AI service to summarise and prioritise incoming inquiries.

When you browse the site, our servers record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We use it only to keep the site secure and working, based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website, and keep it only as long as needed for that.

Cookies

The public website doesn't set any cookies and doesn't use analytics, advertising or social media trackers. The only cookie we use is a strictly necessary session cookie for AssetBook staff who sign in to the internal staff area.

How long we keep it

We delete contact-form inquiries 12 months after our last contact with you. If your inquiry leads to an agreement, we keep the information we need for that relationship for as long as the agreement requires and as Swedish law (for example the Bookkeeping Act) demands.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data or share it for marketing. Only AssetBook staff who handle inquiries have access to it. We may share it with suppliers who host or operate our systems on our behalf, under data processing agreements, or where the law requires us to. We don't transfer your data outside the EU/EEA.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• get a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• have incorrect data corrected
• have your data deleted
• restrict or object to how we process it
• receive your data in a portable format, where that applies

To use any of these rights, email info@assetbook.eu. We respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or the data protection authority where you live.

The AssetBook platform and apps

This policy covers the website. When we process personal data in the AssetBook IoT Platform or apps on behalf of a customer, we act as that customer's processor under our data processing agreement with them, and the customer's own privacy information applies.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
